adiCox Sol® AP – reducing a signs of coccidiosis
23.11.2020
Over the years, many field observations have been carried out with the use of adiCoxSOL® PF. Below are microscopic photos of the test performed in 2014 by the AviVet Service S.J. Private Veterinary Clinic.
One of the most common questions that appears when selecting an appropriate coccidiosis control program is: How effective is it?
Therefore, in order to assess the condition of the flock and determine the effectiveness of the selected method of coccidia reduction, a quantitative study using the McMaster chamber is used. The result of this study is the determination of the number of Eimeria spp oocysts per gram of excreted in birds’ faeces (oocysts per gram of feces – OPG). This technique is a very useful tool in determining environmental pressure and diagnosing coccidiosis. It allows to monitor the impact of used product on the health of birds and select an effective action plan.

Over the years, many field observations have been carried out with the use of adiCoxSOL® PF. Below are microscopic photos of the test performed in 2014 by the AviVet Service S.J. Private Veterinary Clinic.
TEST CONDITIONS:
• 55 000 broilers
• Observation: diarrhea, increased mortality, wet litter
• Samples of feaces collected on days 21 and 24 (3 days after adiCoxSOL® PF administration)
RESULTS:
After three days of using adiCoxSOL® PF, the number of oocysts in bird feaces OPG is reduced from 1 200 000 to 62 000
CONCLUSIONS:
The adiCoxSOL® PF administered in the amount of 1L / 1000L of drinking water significantly contributes to reducing the signs of coccidiosis. When administered as a supplementation to the poultry feeding program, it effectively protects against the occurrence of infection symptoms.
